“And together, they walk toward their distant shore.
Some place fine and far from here.”

I am absolutely rendered speechless, I wish I could give this way more than 5 stars. Throughout this trilogy, every book was just even better than the last, even though I pretty much loved each one. Obsidio was just everything and more. I was skeptical of yet having another pov, but having Asha and Rhys' perspectives added so much I didn't know was needed. Being able to see the harsh truths of warfare on planet level, in contrast to the battles we've seen in the last two books up in space, provides so much insight and reflection for readers. The book was just written in the best flow and cut off so perfectly at cliffhangers to switch to the different perspectives. Finally seeing the dynamic between Kady, Ezra, Hanna, Nik, and Ella was a dream with the sarcasm and comedic lines that came out of them along with how they all bonded so fast Don't get me started on that one emotional scene between Ella and Isaac Grant. “You still have a family, is what I'm saying.”  I was ugly sobbing so much, the way he spoke those family words just hit different. I wish we did learn a bit more about Asha and Rhys since I didn't connect to them as much, though I very much enjoyed their arc in the story overall and their second chance romance. “Everyone deserves a second chance.” The adventures on the Mao were lighthearted and fun because of the group's dynamic and provided a good contrast to grim war situations on Kerenza with the ruthless soldiers and rebellion that had been running on little hope. AIDAN's development throughout the books really showed though he was still able to stay true to his roots when it came down to it, and seeing him go made my heart hurt. I adored that sentimental little ending. Overall, this was such a thrilling wrap up on this trilogy and though I'm going to miss these characters so much, I'm beyond content knowing that they're going to be able to live out the lives they deserve.

“They look at one another again. And this time, they smile. These seven little pebbles who started an avalanche heard all the way around the universe.”

“Live a life worth dying for.”
