All About Love by Stephanie Laurens

3.0

It's been a while since I've read a Stephanie Laurens, and this has been sitting on the to-read pile for a while. I fancied a bit of light fluffy action, so turned to this.

This is Lucifier's story - the last of the Bar Cynster - and he gets entangled in a murder mystery when he goes to visit and old friend. The Heroine is too stupid to live in many ways, and this annoyed me a lot more than that sort of thing usually does. Maybe I just hit this at a bad point - I've just read the latest Eloisa James, and not long since the latest Julia Quinn - and they were both better than this. I don't know if my tastes have changed, or if I've just read too many Laurens, but it didn't really set the world on fire. I've got a couple of other Laurens waiting to be read, so I'll see if this is a one off
