The Art of Social Media: Power Tips for Power Users by Guy Kawasaki, Peg Fitzpatrick

4.0

Really enjoyed this book and got many useful tips I plan to implement. I'm not a beginner in social media, but I'm not an expert, either. My viewpoint would be different than many, as I'm an educator rather than a businessman. Nevertheless, as we work toward promoting an edCamp, there are many useful tips I can apply.

I downloaded the info from https://www.hightail.com/download/UlRUaUNLU1BwcFYzZU1UQw and added notes to it. That made the notes clickable and very usable. One of the things I liked about the book was that it wasn't so specific that it was outdated as soon as it was printed. There are definitely improvements I can make to my blog, and I understand many more things about Google+ now. I really liked the "Peg Your Post" list with specific steps explaining how to integrate many social media platforms at one time.

Now I'm off to get a better profile picture, delete some pithy quotes, and pin some more. The explanations of various purposes and audience for the different platforms was very well done, too.
