9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan

1.0

Just found the book on my shelf a few days ago, I remembered reading it on my college years. It made me wonder, why didn't I finish this book? So I decided to reread the book.

This review is purely subjective based on my feeling when I read the book and not meant to vilify the author.

While I'm sure the writer and the characters are great people in real life, the book has no plot whatsoever – which I would simply let go if this is an autobiography, but it is not. The little boy with the red-and-white uniform adds nothing to the story. It's kinda ironic how every exciting and inspirational step on the author's journey is portrayed in this book whose so little, if any, flow to its chapters.
