The secrets out! Darcy Phillips, a bisexual individual gets caught when collecting the letters from locker 89. Locker 89 is or was until now, an anonymous individual who would provide relationship advice if and when asked. Caught by Alexander Brougham, the deal is to help him get back with his ex-girlfriend. Navigating her own personal life, Darcy tries her best to provide real-life ad-hoc relationship advice. But her best friend now has a new girlfriend and she may have fallen for someone new and is questioning her identity.

This book was a bit slow in the beginning and I didn’t like the character’s personalities. They seemed rude and arrogant at times, and that didn’t help me get interested in the story. I trudged on to mainly read about the relationship advice and personality types threaded throughout the story. It opened my perspective to look at things in a more positive manner and from various views. But the writing is good and even though I didn’t prefer the characters in the beginning it’s what made them feel more real by the end. I didn’t know them but I got to know them as the story went on.

I felt most of this story was better in the second half of the book. The characters had more emotions; made mistakes, told and admitted to lies, kept secrets and hurt others. None of them are perfect characters which was refreshing to read about and relatable.

Darcy is bisexual so there was a lot of portrayal and discussion surrounding bisexuality. There were discussions between characters, internal monologues, biphobia, definitions and more. Even Brougham’s character was sweet. He respected others by respecting other’s feelings, opinions and boundaries. Seriously, this book had a lot of good things in it.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and it was different from my usual reads. I learned a lot from this book as well.
