The central character in this Norwegian murder mystery is a middle aged, wheelchair bound lesbian - think Miss Marple meets Ironside. The plot is basically "And then there were none" in the Arctic. So not the most promising of set ups. But for the most part I found this book immensely entertaining - thanks mostly to the wonderfully dry wit of the reluctant detective. The end was all a bit far fetched and silly - as too often happens in these books (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo anyone?)But this was a cut above the average.
