i’m sorry but the pedophilia is just so unnecessary like it would be of no difference to the plot if she didn’t look 10. literally nothing would change & that is so nasty to me like ok. it’s something if it relates to the story & adds another layer BUT IT DOESNT HERE!!!! ITS JUST FUCKING GROSS & I CANT GET OVER IT!
it’s a real shame too, like this is SUCH a great concept that would be so enjoyable to build a world around & explain the lore but everything felt so …. bland? i was genuinely having fun in the last bit because it was so fast-paced & interesting but GOD if the rest of the book wasn’t such a slog to get through.
