I'm a sucker for a Hades and Persephone retelling and this one definitely delivered. When I found out about receiving the ARC I made sure to speed read the first one to be all caught up and I'm glad I did because this picks up right where TM & TU left off. I will tell you from the jump, if you're expecting the smut level from book 1 its not there but the story itself is still great. I personally love fantasy books that are overly descriptive so this story played like a movie in my head. I love a good dual POV book thats super descriptive.
While there definitely could have been more spice and maybe less jumpin around in the story, I overall enjoyed the story especially the connection between Hades and Persephone, the way he treats her.....a woman can only dream lol.
Honestly though, read this series if you enjoy fantasy, greek mythology and 1000000% if you enjoy Hades and Persephones re-tellings because this is a GREAT series.
