“One bite of the apple, one taste of temptation, and it’s fuckin’ hard to go back”

I was craving a motorbike gang romance and here we are. I heard and saw so many good things about this on bookstagram, so decided to give it a go since it was on Kindle Unlimited!

It was alright, I enjoyed it, I mean its not my most favourite thing I've ever read, but I was still an enjoyable reading experience that had me wanting to download the next book! I wasn't really drawn to Cressida I won't lie, I didn't actively dislike her, but I didn't really care for her much either. King on the other hand I really liked and really vibed with. I would have loved to have had some chapters from his point of view, and especially if they featured more interaction with The Fallen Men, because to be honest I kind of stopped caring about the romance side of things and just wanted to know about the bikers and their life.

Don't get me wrong that's not to say I didn't enjoy the romance, I did, but I just wasn't all that crazy about it. For some reason, it didn't really work for me. I've only read one other age gap romance, and that was [b:Birthday Girl|39555142|Birthday Girl|Penelope Douglas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1523361696l/39555142._SY75_.jpg|61165395] by [a:Penelope Douglas|7139136|Penelope Douglas|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1480874868p2/7139136.jpg] and I really enjoyed that one, so I had hoped that this might be a little like that, but it fell a little flat for me. I'm not sure if maybe part of the reason was because I wasn't overly keen on Cressida like I say, who knows.

That being said, I did still enjoy Lessons in Corruption, and I have downloaded and started the next book, and so far so good, so I'm hoping that maybe they get better as the series goes on? Fingers crossed
