Relationships by The School of Life

informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

4.0

I need to discuss this book with someone but sadly 😥  I don't have anyone that would like this type of discussion.
It was truly insightful especially for someone like me where in my background romance and love start after marriage.
It helps you remove harmful misconceptions and provides guidance to maintain a relationship.
There were a few chapters I disagreed with
The partner as child, for the life of me I cannot stand behind tolerating mistreatment by an adult partner and equating it to child behaviour. If I can learn to regulate my emotions and mask as neurotypical person, another adult can learn to speak and behave respectfully.
The Loyalist and the Libertine, that argument to me seems more a personal preference rather than anything related to romantic concepts, and in my personal belief faithfulness is work that I would expect from anyone in my life.
Great book nonetheless.
