Murder Is Easy by Agatha Christie

3.0

I don't understand the need to make series from Agatha's stand alones. Battle only appears at the end to tie things up but the main character is Luke Fitzwilliam an early retired overseas policeman who happens to find a woman in the train that wants to go to Scotland Yard and tell them about crimes she thinks have been commited in her hometown. Luke thinks she's endeearing but not very likely to be true and forgets about it until the next day she happens to be in the newspaper being killed by a running car.
Luke gets an invitation to a mannor in that town from the cousin of a friend and tries to discern who is who in it. But to discover madness is not an easy feat, specially not surrounded by people with suspicious behaviour.
