Asking for Trouble by Giana Darling

5.0

When four thugs show up at Evergreen Gas Station with cocked shotguns and masked faces, it could have ended in the worst night of my life.

Instead, a gorgeous mystery man in leather, silver, and too many tattoos strolls into the middle of the robbery and becomes my unlikely saviour with a tarnished halo.

Only, what seemed like a random hold-up at first turns into something far more complicated and Aaron Clare isn’t the type of man to leave a woman in distress. Despite my vow not get into trouble again, I find myself following the man dubbed ‘Boner’ into a night of danger and delicious debauchery with long-reaching consequences.

“Feel like I was born with your name written on my bones and I was just waitin’ to find ya.”

If you've seen my reviews or my posts on any of my social media, you'll know that I am obsessed with the Fallen Men series and that it's one of my all-time favorite book series. When Giana announced that she was going to be releasing a novella within the series I got so excited and for good reason because this is honestly one of my favorite books in the series! Thank you so much Giana Darling for sending me an ARC copy of Asking For Trouble!

If you had asked me what characters in the Fallen Men series I was excited to see a book about, Boner wouldn't have been one of the first that came to mind but Giana, once again, showed me how wrong I was because this book was absolutely incredible. It's not often that I can sit down and read a book essentially in a single sitting but I did that with this book because it was too good to put down and not devour!

Aaron & Blue might be my favorite couple in the entire Fallen Men universe. Their banter is iconic right from the get-go and how open he is with his feelings had me swooning really hard. Who knew this man had so much game? I also LOVE the fact that Giana Darling has now written an FMC that is mid-size and that she talks about the fatphobia she has had to combat against without making it a huge focal point of the story. And the fact that Aaron absolutely worshipped her body??? Here for it.

This book and the plot that ties everything altogether was also wonderfully done and I'm really excited and also very nervous to see what happens next for the Fallen Men and their ladies.

- the fallen men series novella (7.5)
