I enjoyed this read as I read it.
I consumed a part of the book per day and thoroughly enjoyed the writing, calming vibes and atmosphere that was presented.
Not sure if i was a massive fan of the events and the ending in particular. I also think if I'd read it straight after CMBYN with the expectation it would follow straight after these events or from the same perspectives i would've been disappointed. So i get the backlash.
But I've had some distance from the first novel and just had an enjoyable experience with the writing, having consumed it over a few days.
