Such an amazing book. Truly.
Barker’s retelling of ‘The Iliad’ is the realest one you’ll find. We see the reality of war, of trauma, and we see that Achilles was never a hero.
I was worried that this female-focused retelling would be good but unrealistic and feel far from the myth, but this was none of that. Would truly recommend to anyone.
