Amelia and the Viscount by Samantha Holt

3.0

Rating: 3.0/5.0

The story is about 5 sisters. Four of them are singles, Amelia (The protagonist) who is the more serious and sensible of the sisters, Julia who is more devious, Catherine the delightful one, Emma the annoying one and Lavinia who is married and living somewhere else. Amelia is a secret writer who writes scandalous love stories. Amelia is in love with Nicholas, a viscount who used to love her sister Lavinia. Will the viscount love her too? You need to read to know that.

The story is short. The writing is OK. There is no much character development going on here due to the length of the book. The main protagonist is the only character which is a bit more detailed compared to the others. The story has nothing new to offer, it feels more generic like many other historical romances I have read in the past. This book is part of a series and each one will be telling the story of one of the girls. Hopefully, the next one will be better. The book suitable for a fast reading session, but don't expect anything spectacular. I give Amelia and the Viscount a 3.0 out of 5.0 stars.
