Daddy Bod by Margot Scott

3.0

I recently read Daddy Bod by Margot Scott, Book 1 of 4 in Daddy Sized series, during the "Stuff Your Kindle" event. It's not something I would usually read, but I was drawn to it because of its plus-size heroine and the fact that the MC was also plus-size, which is rare in books. The book was a quick read and a fun palette cleanser during my current reading slump.

The story features Jonathan, a giant of a man who is content with his solitude and manual labor in his fixer-upper in the country. However, when April, a BBW cam girl, shows up on his doorstep looking for a room to rent, his life takes an unexpected turn. April is on the run from her stepmom who threw her out when she discovered her cam girl job. Jonathan becomes determined to help her and brings her desires to life.

I enjoyed the book and was happy to see a plus-size heroine represented. I especially appreciated the FMC's decision to value herself by moving out instead of putting up with her step-mom's abuse. She didn't let her parents' discomfort stop her from pursuing what mattered to her; her confidence and schooling. The relationship between Jonathan and April was empowering and healthy, although I wished their foreplay was drawn out a little longer, as I wasn't a fan of the insta-love connection.

Overall, Daddy Bod was a fun, empowering read that featured a plus-size heroine and a healthy relationship. It's a great book for those looking for a quick, easy read.
