I think this is more of a 3.5 star.
It was a good solid sequel, but it didn’t grab me like the first one did. There wasn’t that secret of Em not being who she said she was which is what made the first one so exciting for me.
I did like that there was more than one villain. In fact, there ended up being like 3 and you never knew who was going to do what.
It was fun getting to see places that were only mentioned in the first book and explore their landscapes. The new characters were fun and added a lot to the story and the old characters grew and changed.
It ended at such a good spot where some things were all tied up, but others were just beginning and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
