First read of June!
I don't know how I feel about this book. It's my first of Geissinger's so maybe I just need to read more of her work, but the twist in this story was f*ck!ng insane. I figured Killian was just watching her, and as soon as I heard the father and Callum talking I knew it was something "mercenary-ish" related. What I wasn't ready for was the stalking and manipulation behind everything. Not sure how I feel about it though. I skimmed over most of the sex scenes because they were pretty cringey to me, I just scanned to make sure I wasn't missing any important dialogue. I'm used to heavy smut but Callum's dialogue just made me scrunch my nose.
Still a 4 star read though. The twist was big and unexpected and that was an auto-three star for me. I fell in love with Emery and the rest of the book store crew and their stray cats lol. Looking forward to checking out the second book.
