The book was good but it wasn’t great. Something that really bothered me was

that if Elise and Gabriel really are Elysian Mates then why did they already sleep with each other?! Like no build up, no banter, no friendship first! It was too rushed and then he’s a dick to her half the time. I feel like that could’ve been executed better. I prefer what she has with the other Kings than with her own damn mate! Like it shouldn’t be that way.
