I was so excited to read this story after reading the synopsis and seeing the cover. After reading it, I will share this story with everyone who will listen!
In Between Mischief and Magic, we follow Rei and Amora on their journey to find and return Amora’s magic. Learning about their world and all the different people that live there was one of my favorite things. 
I have never read a lot of fantasy, and this was a great start! I am very excited for the next story in their world!!!

What I enjoyed:
  • Amora. She is perfect, and I love everything about her! 
  • The banter between Rei and Amora!!
  • The story flows nicely from beginning to end
  • Pastries!!!
  • Vern. I love animal sidekicks. 
What I did not enjoy:
  • I wanted Rei’s brother to return to the story at the end. It was just a small storyline that I wanted to end happily, and it didn’t.
  • It took me about 20% to get into the story. This is more due to my not reading fantasy very often. 
 
I think you would enjoy this book if:
  • You like cozy fantasy novels (there is a conflict and minor content warnings, but it is mostly cozy)
  • You like Ella Enchanted
  • You enjoy Legends & Lattes but wanted more romance
