I was never that into reading and MM books are what got me into reading. The first of which was this book when I read it at 7/8yrs old and it was probably my first proper solo read and has stayed with me for almost 20years. I cried a good amount at this book and it filled me with understanding of heartbreak and hope that I couldn’t get enough. So maybe it’s not a happy read, but so full of heart it spawned my lifelong love of reading. 

So I would recommend this to young and old readers alike, as I would with mant other MM books.
