The Flowers of Evil, Vol. 1 by Shuzo Oshimi
5.0
(11 volumes)
you need to read this manga to the end. it's not something you can read one, two, even three chapters of and form an accurate opinion. you need to finish this. cause that's what this story is about. initially i thought this was what it seemed at first glance: perverted, ugly, cruel. a story that would indulge itself and carry on sadistically to a bitter end. it's not. it's about survival. surviving those ugly patches of life where nothing and no one seem to matter. in the end it turns out that they do matter. things change. actions have consequences. and surviving is worth it.
