In the Skin of a Monster by Kathryn Barker

Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
Okay, it really sucks when you love an author's second novel so much you give it five stars and immediately race out for a copy of their first one, only to have to DNF that because you're bored and it's weird and you just wish you knew what was going on. 

I feel like this was a cool idea but I was 200+ pages in and less than 90 pages from the end and I didn't have a clue about anything. I'm curious about the ending and I would actually love for someone to spoil it for me, just so I know. But I can't be bothered reading the rest.
