Go Ask Alice for a new generation where gay sex, not weed, is the temptation du jour from which Jesus must rescue our dim witted and easily manipulated MC. Not so much a thriller as it is a test of your patience. Trauma porn in the same vein as A Little Life, though curiously touted by the same reviewers and booktokers who decried ALL; maybe the "happy" Christian ending made this slog seem cheerier by comparison.
(Side note - was anyone else rolling their eyes when Jonah said he went to Wheaton? This boring twit got into the extremely competitive "Christian Harvard"? With what money, what credentials, and what smarts?)
