I’m torn between a 3 and 4 star. The story is interesting (loved how it started) and the art is awesome, but overall I feel disappointed in the way this went off the rails so suddenly and spiraled so far out of control. It’s an interesting exploration of grief in many forms, but overall the climax felt a little too angst-drama to me. It was interesting watching characters act out exactly what they hated and silence voices they were complaining had been silenced, but character inner dialogues and struggles felt so overdone as to be angst-driven mush that wasn’t as engaging as it could have been.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Death of parent, Gore, Grief, Gun violence, Mass/school shootings, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, Murder, Toxic friendship, Suicide attempt, and Abandonment
Slut shaming, forced to give up a baby
