Dreamology by Lucy Keating

3.0

Sweet, dreamlike and likeable, this book is as pleasant as the protagonist, Alice Rowe. Alice spent most of her nights dreaming about a boy she has never met, Max. Imagine her surprise when he suddenly appears in front of her in her new school, and he seems to recognise her as well. It may sound absurd, but the study on dreams and neurology is what makes this a pleasant read. Alice is the kind of character with enough wit and spirit that makes the story colourful. The basis of Alice's childhood nightmares is painful, and the loss she faced should have been further explored, in my opinion. It is still a rather enjoyable read, though
