Honey Dipped Secrets by K.D. McCrite

My mother recommended me this series as a light read since I'm trying to meet a goal and sometimes my books I choose can be quite heavy. I generally enjoy them but this one I didn't. I finally realized why when my mom showed me they are by different authors. This book could have been like 15 pages if it weren't for the unnecessary fluff of mundane tasks and conversations. Some entire chapters were useless, just Cornelia and Jillian "arguing" over if one should relax or not. Or talking for 2 pages of who is going to cook. Dear lord it was dull. Then the reveal of the killer was just ham fisted in a chapter at the end. This had a good opportunity but a lot of unnecessary filler and random people that made no sense.
