A Dash of Trouble by Anna Meriano

4.0

I received a copy of this galley through Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute story about Leo, who has a problem with snooping. When she is left out of the family bakery's preparations for Dia de los Muertos, Leo goes undercover and secretly finds out about the magic in her family. It turns out all of the women in Leo's family are brujas and she has magic herself. In effort to not be further left out, Leo tries her own hand at magic and it blows up in her face. Leo just may have to come clean and seek her mom and sister's help.

I thought this was a cute story about family. I enjoyed the personality of the characters. I thought the magic was funny and unique. I enjoyed the integration of the Spanish language and story related recipes.
