Halton was a brief player in the end of Van's story and I was so excited to see he got his own book! Someone who is that passionate in making sure children are taken care of and not used as pawns intrigued me and I couldn't wait to see who captured his interest!
Fiona happens to be divorcing Halton's nemesis and knows that Halton is the only one who can help her. She's left reeling by the sudden end of her decade long marriage and Halton is there for her every step of the way. Soon, a close friendship and working relationship turn to passion and Halton is left fighting demons left over from a bad childhood in order to get out of his own way and build a life with Fee.
