Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews

Hahha, ahh, I had to reread this for the memories. I remember standing around in the library in 6th grade, and another girl in my class sneakily passed me this book. I still remember the stealthy giggles when we got to that part, like we had totally gotten away with something. Ahh, good times.

This, while actually not very good, was very much a gateway book. I like to think of Twilight like that for a lot of young girls now. If you don't love to read, or don't know where to start, sometimes it takes a crappy and addicting book to get you started.

Therefore, I refuse to rate it... because it's not very good, but it led me to so many good things--namely, a love of reading.
