Girls Weekend by C.M. Nascosta

5.0

So the plot here is deceptively simple: Three elvish girls go on holiday to a orcish nudist colony - two specifically to get laid, and one who is in for a shock as she doesn't know where she's going at all. While on holiday they all get laid. What complicates the plot is that each elf is dealing with personal issues which are explored through their *interactions* with the orcs they come across - so really this isn't just a story about some pretty massive size differences (it's that too), it's a story about class, toxic relationships, sizeism, identity and belonging. And it doesn't necessarily end happily for our elves.

So I loved every page of this, even though at times I felt really anxious about where the stories were going. There were a couple of intimate scenes where I wasn't 100% sure I understood the logistics of what was happening - like how all the body parts were lining up given the size differences involved, but honestly does it matter? Nope. I felt a bit sad each time Ris had an encounter as it didn't honestly feel like she was enjoying herself -
Spoilershe doesn't have a HEA either so I'm glad I can immediately read Parties to find out what happens next
. And I'm still worried about what's happening with Silva
Spoileras while Tate sounds like a hot dream he also sounds like he might be a toxic mess and poor girl has got enough on her plate as is. Their relationship is definitely more of a HFN
. Lurielle's story was the most complete and the most satisfying from a romance perspective.

Some content warnings - the book features
Spoilerintrusive thoughts about weight, body shaming, abusive relationships (both on and off page) and obviously a solid amount of sexual content
.

On to Parties!
