I only read The Story of Son, since it is the only short story from a series I actually follow, so this review will be solely about it.

I will eventually read the others someday and when I do, I'll come back to update this review.

Well, this was a nice addiction to the Black Dagger Brotherhood world.

I don't usually give more than 3 stars to short stories, because I use to have issues concerning its length and how everything seems to be rushed, but that didn't happen here. It actually work and, though not as good as a full length novel, it was a pretty good story.

I loved Son/Michael. He was such a curious blend of innocence and sexuality that I couldn't not love him. Plus, how awful his life had been until he met Claire. I'm so glad that happened.

Claire was also a good heroine. I loved the fact she didn't take her frustrations out on Michael. Yes, she was scared and pissed off, but once she could see past that, she saw who he really was and that they both needed another.

I would like if Ward showed these two in future books of the series. There is definitely space for more, since they don't know if there are more vampires and where and stuff like that.
