Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik

3.0

I liked "His Majesty's Dragon" better, but "Throne of Jade" is also quite enjoyable, a pretty solid and entertaining book. The book picks up where the last book ended, with the concerns about the Chinese not being happy about Temerarie being in hands of an English commoner turning true. The book moves a bit slow at the beginning, but picks up speed as the travel brings everybody closer to China. The depiction of the dragon world in China was quite interesting and different from that of the first book, and it was quite a pleasure to explore. But I'm looking forward to the storyline going back to Napoleon.
