Holy Moly can I please get a Max Holden, thank you very much universe!
I squealed, cried, laughed, aaaaw'ed... Basically every emotion went through me while reading this 😂
The second I finished Forget Me I was praying to the book gods to send me Forget Me Not as soon as possible. As this was my first book by this author, I was completely shocked when that cliffhanger came and I was a little bit scared to see how it would develop. What happened at the end of book 1 is not something I would usually pick up to read (sorry for being vague, trying not spoil the first book).
However, I think it was handled beautifully and I was in from moment 1. Max and Sammies' relationship is adorable and it hurt me to see him hurting. I didn't used to like found family but this book once more proved that it is becoming one of my favourite tropes.
The only remark I have on this book is this: read the series in order! While they are standalones, I did spoil the other books for myself by reading this one first. I also read that Max was a bit of a dickhead in the previous books and I think I would've loved it even more if I could've seen the change in him, because he was simply perfect in these books.
I've added every single Claire Raye book to my wishlist and I'm so excited to get emotionally steamrolled again and again by them.
