Unmasking Autism: Discovering the New Faces of Neurodiversity by Devon Price

5.0

I'm glad I read this.

It's important that information goes out into the world from the perspective of someone with the information being shared. Devon Price is autistic. This is their story. Listen to autistic voices.

Now this book brings up a lot of issues that autistic people deal with. One of which is the amount of undiagnosed people out there who are left floundering having to mask their authentic selves. Part of this is stereotypes of what autism is. Women and people of color are two groups who have a higher chance of being missed. Autism is more common than some want to admit.

This book is full of useful knowledge to help with self acceptance as you unmask, and just knowledge in general about autism that needs to get out.
