In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson

2.0

This book took forever to read because it was so boring. I’m being generous by giving it two stars, it deserves /maybe/ 1.5. I was looking for something akin to Devil in the White City—which was fantastic—and this fell so short. It wasn’t engaging, I didn’t care about the characters, I barely even learned anything. It’s not worth the time it took to slog through; the last 50 pages are the most interesting, but not worth going through the whole book.
