this book is about family and humanity. it explored a whole lot of thought process on our uniqueness as creatures in this planet; how our ability to think, to talk and communicate gives us an edge and disadvantages towards other beings.
a book that has a very intriguing premise as this gives me so much to look forward and to expect to.when i started reading this book, i had an inkling that i would love it.having an unreliable narrator like rosemary, i was easily invested into her story and her family. as the story progresses and the bit of mystery was revealed, the story telling becomes boring and i really struggle through the second half of it. in my opinion, there's a lot of missed opportunities in the book's writing because i still find the ending perfect and satisfying but the journey through it could have send me to not finishing it.
my overall experience of this book was just okay but i will give lots of appreciation for the author for exploring a very important and intriguing subject in this novel 👏
