Rubinrot. Liebe geht durch alle Zeiten by Kerstin Gier

Solcher Spaß. It feels so nice to return to a trilogy I loved ten years ago, not only that, but to return to it in its original language. Kerstin Gier has a way of writing very sympathetic characters, and there was not a moment that I felt irritated with Gwen (as so often happens with YA female protagonists, forever 16; I mean here that this irritation is often artificially produced to create a specific model of a female YA protagonist), instead she felt so utterly friendly, sweet and talked like an actual teenager; you could see actually being friends with her when you were her age, just a girl's girl. I just had a lot of fun and warm fuzziness reading this, and I really appreciate it when I return to a book I loved as a kid and find it just as charming. Can't wait to get on with Saphirblau.
