This is the fifth book in the Artemis Fowl series.
Like the other books, I really enjoyed this one! It was well written and I'm excited to see what will happen in the next books, especially with Minerva and the twins. This book adds some fun new characters, as well as continue to find interesting ways to include the normal characters. It's always interesting to see Mulch appear and to see Butler pushed outside of his comfort zones as Artemis does things that put them all in danger.
The idea of being able to control magic put an interesting spin on what can happen in the upcoming novels. I'm curious to see what else Colfer will do with that. I also loved getting a bigger picture of the various magical creatures and their abilities. I wonder if No.1 will show up more often.
