Incest: From "a Journal of Love": The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin by Anaïs Nin

dark emotional funny slow-paced

3.0

I loved Anaïs Nin's journal, Henry and June, and I will always have a soft spot for her in heart. I'm not sure if it's because I'm in a very different place in my life, but this journal dragged on soooooo long. I love Anaïs Nin, and what she represents for feminism, and I honestly feel bad that I didn't enjoy this book more, as I had loved Henry and June. Sometimes it felt like she was just drivelling on, and never got to the point. I understand we're reading someone's journal, I just had a hard time getting into this one.
