Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave by Frederick Douglass

adventurous dark hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

Frederick Douglass' memoir still holds today. A novel on Douglass' uprisal, redefinition, and journey in the 1830s, slavery America. He writes with eloquence and unwavering faith and in light of the many hypocrisies of a "Christian" America. It's crazy how his words still reflect today, even though written over a century ago. A must-read for this Black History Month!
