This was such an incredible and captivating read. Roanhorse has crafted a vivid world, compelling characters, and a magic system deeply steeped in myth and legend. Based on ancient American civilizations, it stands out among the numerous European-derived fantasies. I could not put it down and am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
