There wasn’t really a main plot to follow. I had a hard time following and staying into it because there was a lot of inconsistency. I think that’s just SJM’s style of writing. Everything was slow and jumbled until the last 100 pages (as with her other books) and then the pace JUMPED. Nesta’s growth was incredible to read about in the Valkyrie plot line, but her attachment to music felt really inconsistent and used as a tool when the author needed it. Overall, I wish the plot tied into the character’s story.
