The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

5.0

I found this to be a delightful read. The characters were entertaining, and I was really intrigued by the world building. The tone throughout was light hearted, which was a nice change of pace from what I have been reading. I loved how the focus of the book was on relationships the crew had with each other, or ones that develop (one character is a new member). I also liked that the crew was multispecies. This helped in learning the variety of cultures that exist in the book’s universe, and how they view other sapient species. I thought the origin of humans in space was interesting, especially since it was a good critique on how we treat our planet and each other.
