I am in love with Serapio! He is so sarcastic and funny yet serious. Xiala is my second fav. She was an interesting character with a cool POV. Naranpa was okay. Maybe if she was less of a pushover I would like her more. The end made me appreciate her more, but I just wanted her to go on a rampage with anger, but she didn’t.  I’m hoping we can see Nara and Okoa’s relationship blossom in the other books.  I felt so much annoyance and anger towards Abah. If I could have released my wrath on her I would have. Eche was an incompetent idiot.
I am happy for their deaths🙂.  Iktan made me upset as well. I thought xe would be a a safe haven for Nara, but I hate the idea that hurting someone is okay, just because you care for them🙄. Just left me feeling betrayed.
It was hard for me to get into as I struggle reading books where I can’t understand the motives of characters and what they are fighting. All the POVs had separate motives, but I couldn’t see how they connected until after 1/4 of the book. Once it all connected I enjoyed my time.
