It's Okay to Laugh: (Crying Is Cool Too) by Nora McInerny Purmort

4.0

I've said it in a hundred reviews before, but I love a a good, raw memoir where the writer is willing to let you in to the darkest, hardest moments of their life as well as the easy, everyday relatable moments.
I loved the authors voice, I loved the sweet relationship with her husband and really felt for her in her losses. The only thing I didn't love were the few chapters that almost slipped into self-help genre rather than memoir. I would have liked more detail about these huge events- I have a lot of questions left unanswered- but this book did for me what I think a great memoir should always do- it made me leave feeling like I'm best friends with the author, I know her that well.
