i thought this is going to be a crime/thriller but i was wrong. the book was only 100+ pages but there's so much to unpack. this is a different kind of pain— distraught, resentment, and trauma. reading this on mothers day certainly didn't help. it's about womanhood and motherhood and the ugly truth about caregiving.
