Elegant, concise, heartbreaking
I will never recover from this fr fr.... The last sentence. My god. All of the reminiscing told beautifully, ending with a breathtakingly soul crushing letter.

...but it's a painful admiration; what he likes about me is also what keeps me separate from him.

 Viewing people from their future, doomed to love with fear and secrecy. Believing one's fate is predestined and there's nothing that can be done. I'm forever saddened by Thomas' character. To carry your unhappiness to the grave, I can never wish that on anyone.
