How do you describe a book both lyrical and disturbing? I found myself alternating between admiring the writing and wishing I could look away as the inevitable crash of hormones led down an unfortunate path. I can't honestly recommend this particular title, though Crummey's writing is outstanding. It was just too disturbing to look at with an objective eye.
