Disclosure: I read the book as a beta reader then editor/proofreader and am personally (emotionally) invested in Hannah's success (and errors are on me).
So the very cool thing about acting at a beta reader level is that I not only know Hannah achieved what she was looking to do with this book, I also got a front row seat of some of the work that goes behind it. Things Jesse's Girl achieves? Well for starters, it hits you in the feels AND causes the room temperature to rise with some very excellent smut. I love her continued representation of neurodiversity in characters, I love how relatable the characters are and, ngl, I love how the smut be smuttin'. :D And here's thing - the Brother's Best Friend trope is normally on my NOPE list, I enjoyed this so, so much because I felt the emotional arc was done so, so right. If this is trope is your trope, it might just blow you out of the water and melt your brain in the best ways.
